PolyWorks Surveyor™ is a powerful point cloud software solution optimized to handle large data sets obtained from any short-range, mid-range, or long-range scanner. Its point cloud alignment, measurement, and extraction capabilities are tailored to the needs of building site surveyors, civil engineers, open-pit mining, architects, city modellers, and professionals from the cultural, artistic, and archeological fields.
PolyWorks Surveyor™ contains the following features;
- Accurate scan alignment using the geometrical shape of the scene, with no need for field targets.
- Easy geo-referencing of the entire point cloud using a minimum of three known points in the real-world coordinate system, or three known scanner positions.
- Quick extraction of multiple “as-built dimensions”, such as distances, volume, angles, radii, and more.
- Automatic extraction of feature lines, such as building edges and footprints, and other architectural details, such as doors and windows.
- Automatic creation of 3D polygonal models, using original color and/or intensity information, for highly detailed visualization applications.
- Creating polygonal models for visualization, file sharing, and public libraries
- Archiving for reconstruction
- Monitoring deterioration over time
- Exporting features to downstream survey software suites
- Extracting measurements directly on point clouds
