Digital Modelling is the process of creating a computer model of an object that replicates the form of the physical object.

Firstly, 3D scanners are used to capture the physical object as a point cloud. This can be carried out by either using data collected by your scanning system, or we can scan the object using one of our systems.

Once all the data is collected, it is possible to align and mesh the point cloud to create a polygon model.

Finally, the polygon model can be edited, rapid prototyped or rapid surfaced (NURBS). In addition to this the polygon models can be used in many CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) packages either by using a polygon model or by turning it into a quad mesh.
